About Me...

Hello! Welcome to my website! I'm so happy you're here! Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Stephanie Hutton. I'm originally from a small town called Curwensville, PA & currently live in a town about 20 minutes from here.
I'm a proud Mom of 4, plus a bonus child, & they are all my whole entire world. Owning this business gives me the perfect blend to be a Mom, yet also do what I love!

I'm also about to be your favorite piercer (& new friend, too), and want to say THANK YOU ahead of time for supporting my small business to allow me this opportunity! 

 

My Industry's Backstory:

I started working in a tattoo studio in 2013 as a spokes model, then part time desk girl, then full time, then manager in a nearby town.
Piercings came about when their previous piercer asked me to pierce her. I was super reluctant, if I'm being honest, but she was beyond persistent. On November 16th, 2016, ...I caved.
She saw something in me that I never imagined I'd enjoy. But...I did. A LOT! She continued the knowledge I previously gained (of jewelry, jewlery sizing, medical supplies/equipment, Blood Bourne Pathogens, etc...) through an apprenticeship; teaching me all about anatomy, angles, the proper tools, sterilization, etc. 

I, from there, started to pierce, part time, as needed.

Then another piercer joined over time & he taught me his ways.

Guest Piercers came & I watched over them, too...because you can never learn too much & learning new ways, tips, & tricks is always beneficial!

I also had the pleasure of going to APP (Association of Professional Piercers). The first time was in July '16 & then again in May '19. I enjoy and take pride in piercing by their standards. 

Along the way (May 23rd, 2021), I also became Certified in Ombre Brow Training & Intensive Microblading Training, by the amazing & talented, Mallory Krieger. 

(I've decided to no longer offer Brow Services, hence the business name change. But, I highly recommend everyone goes to Mallory, now located in the Altoona Mall~ "Virago Beauty Bar". I assure you will not regret it! Please, let her know I sent you!)

September 11, 2021, I decided to part ways with my former employment. 

Shawn Elliott, one of my best friends & Owner of Spiraling Upward Tattoo & Art Gallery, invited me to share a studio with him & come July 2022, we opened doors!

My 1st client was July 27th, 2022 & we plan to stay for as long as you all support our small local business! 🥰
